I'm alive...

if anyone is still reading my blog...i'm still here! it's been a crazy summer. lots has happened.

brian is hot! oh i mean he's doin good:)and look at those arms! wowsers! good but tired. our youth ministry has been going strong all summer. we started the first week of june at camp and have been doing something every week except 1 week in june and one week in july. time to slow down. and things are gonna do just that.

Friday will be my last day of working outside of the home. i'll be a "stay at home" mom...whatever that means. i am soooo ready to be home again. i firmly beleive that i was where i was supposed to be for the last year an a half and now the Lord has made it possible for me to go back home. the money will be tight what w/ food and gas prices being so high but it'll always be tight. i wasn't doing much w/ the money i made anyway....gas, babysitters, eating out b\c i was too tired to cook. we just got back from our family vacation. i left my keys at one of the campsites and our beach bag w/ our digital camara in the swim area at another campsite. aaarrrggghhh. very frustrating. good times but it was rediculously hot.

mattie starts 1st grade not this friday but the next. she's not real excited but what kid is excited when school starts. she has lost another tooth...one of her front ones. she doesn't know how to stay at home and play. either she has to have someone over or be goin somewhere. living the life that we live...always on the go...she doesn't know any better. she's decided to take dance/ballet this year. we'll see.

ryder is ryder. he is crazy about camo, guns, animals, and trucks. he loves his big sister. he'll be 3 soon! has a pretty short temper. wow! doesn't quite understand why we have to go to the church all the time...that will soon change since i'll be home more. loves to swim...just started putting his head underwater while we were on vaca.

Great to see you again! I figured you were crazy-busy. We are figuring out that summer is a crazy time for youth ministry. We are just starting to slow way down too. I'm excited for you getting to be a stay at home mom. It'll be an adjustment for everyone, but probably way less stressful. Plus the kids will love seeing you more. Can't wait to hear more!

So good to "see" you again! I have been wondering how y'all were. We're getting ready for a hurricane...wish you were here, lol!

Matt will be leaving Saturday for a week of GH music camp, then they lead their first DNow the following weekend, and he starts school the Tuesday after that. All of which means he won't be home again after leaving Saturday :( We will be going up sometime in the next couple of weeks to bring stuff and help him get settled in.

Yay for Ryder! Maybe Mattie will have a better year this time around. Can't wait to celebrate Ryder's big 3!

Better make yourself a schedule before you stay home or you might turn out like me...pajamas all day....eating breakfast at lunchtime....cleaning up the house approximately one hour before my husband is to arrive.....hehe.

Yay! You're back! Not that I post more than once a month....but I do read other people's posts almost daily or every few days. I figured you were busy. I'm so excited for you that you get to stay home again!

Hi! I love reading your blog! You look so slender--maybe it will encourage me to get back on a diet.
I taught first grade for 17 years and repeating it is not a bad thing. Mattie just needs a little more time. She will gain in confidence and not be frustrated as she would be in second grade. It will be a good thing. Tell Brian that we went to the Buffalo River for 4 days last week and we thought of him.
Love y'all!
