weight loss journey

Just wanted to share about my weight loss journey this time around. With Mattie the weight was gone in less than 6 months of having her. With ryder it's taken me almost 3 years. i'd start then stop b/c it wasn't going as fast as i had hoped. last spring i got down to the weight i am now then over the winter i gained 15lbs. i think that i lost the weight "too fast" last spring and so i pretty much gained it all back as soon as i started "eating" again...over eating that is. This year i started trying in March. i was 155 lbs. it took me a few weeks and i was down 5lbs. easy. Well, i was stuck at 150lbs for what seemed like FOREVER! i was exercising and eating "right" but it wasn't coming off. then eventually i got down to 146lbs. WOW i thought then i inched back up to 150lbs.aarrrgghh. well, it took a while but i reached 145lbs. victory. then i would continue to yo yo between 141 lbs to 146lbs. When we went on our cali trip i was back up to 145 lbs. i was tired of changing the little ticker thing so i just kept at 142lbs. then we went to camp and well, hello camp food. it was tasty i might add. anywoo, i feel like i've had a break through b/c i've lost 6lbs. in a week and a half and i've kept it off. i'm not exercising sorry to say. i just eat during the day and not at night. if i eat anyghing after 4 or 5 it is very little and low in calorie.

anyway, thought i'd share what i've been going through so maybe those of you who are struggling right now can be comforted that it takes a while to get the weight off.....and keep it off. that's the test now keeping if off.

Yee of little faith....

just when i kinda lose "faith" the Lord steps right in and restores it. our ministry here at Calvary has been tough this past year and in recent weeks. The Lord has brought us encouragement through the tough times but especially in the last couple of weeks.

financially we are getting "there". the economic stimulus check was off by $600 and when you've already earmarked that money to pay off your vehicle and ya don't get it your set back a little. Well, we filed late for 2006 and just got our return today. it is more than what we had hoped. in fact it covered what we didn't receive from the eco. stim. check. well......after checking our bank account online i noticed that some checks had just come through that i thought already had come through. after looking at our finances and knowing we had just got paid it wasn't looking good at all. i honestly didn't know what we were gonna do. this all happened w/in a matter of 2 hours this morning. hadn't even gotten to talk to brian about it b/c he was in staff meeting. i run home for a minute, check the mail and low and behold that 2006 tax return i was just talking about was sitting pretty in my lap. MORE THAN WHAT WE HAD EXPECTED!

praise jesus praise jesus prais jesus.

just praising jesus. just praising jesus.

home for a while...

Camp was AWESOME! the Lord did amazing things in my life and the lives of our kids. Walls were broken down. lives were saved. lives where changed. Now Satan is on the attack. ready at a moments notice. hating what heppend last week and relishing in the fact that he's already made his presense known.

Next week i will be getting off earlier...2pm instead of 4pm which usually turned into 5pm and i wasnt' getting home till 6pm. my house was showing it and my life was showing it. before we had children i always said "i'm not working when we have children" well i've eaten those words w/ a little salt and pepper. Thanks to Uncle Sam we have paid off the last of Brian's school loans so that has feed up some money we are chipping away at the Trailblazer note. w/ gas the way it is i honestly don't know what we're going to do...trade in...get a car..who knows. anyway, i can't wait to get back to the way things were before i started working so much. it's only been a few months but it's been a LONG few months.

Mattie starts tutoring next week, i'm getting off earlier, going "home" week after next, going on vaca in July, spending more time at home.

those of you in the ministry w/ me you know how "church life" can take over. unfortunately Satan can use this to tear down the family unit. "busying" ourselves with "the Lords work" while neglecting our family. food for thought. i know i've been thinking about that.

read your Bible daily be in a constant state of prayer forgive ask for forgiveness. Almighty God will not forgive us if we haven't forgiven each other.
